Position: Range Safety Officer (Part-Time)
This is a part-time, FLSA non-exempt position with Carson City Parks, Recreation, and Open Space located in Carson City, NV.
Under the supervision of the Range Coordinator, this non-sworn position performs range safety duties and general maintenance to the Carson City Rifle and Pistol Range.
This position reports to the Range Coordinator with the Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space Department. The Department is responsible for the management and maintenance of the rifle and pistol range which includes the long range, short range, shooting bays, restroom facility and surrounding areas.
The work schedule for this position will vary based on the needs of the range and the Range Coordinator. The work schedule may include working weekends, working an eight-hour shift and may include overtime. However, this position will not work more than 1039 hours in any fiscal year, July 1st to June 30th.
