Full Job Description

An employee in this position performs a wide variety of customer service and administrative support duties for the Airport Authority. Reporting to the Marketing and Customer Relations Manager, this employee serves as receptionist for the Authority and maintains a lead role in providing the highest level of service to all customers. This employee provides administrative support for other areas within the Authority as needed and directed. Work is performed independently and requires the use of sound judgement and professionalism at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greets guests; receives and handles calls; secures and provides information; responds to a variety of both internal and external customer needs.

Provides customer service to Authority customers via in-person, telephone, website, social media, etc.

Maintains Tenant Directory, master contact lists, along with confidential contact information.

Handles confidential and sensitive information in an appropriate manner.

Prepares correspondence and business documents using appropriate office products.

Oversees room reservations and payments.

Assists with the planning and execution of special events.

Provides backup to the Marketing and Customer Services Coordinator.

Maintains office supplies and orders for departments as needed.

Orders business cards for all Authority employees.

Distributes mail and maintains postage machine.

Provides direct program support for Financial Services and Marketing, Customer Relations Department and other administrative departments.

Special projects and other duties as assigned by the Marketing and Customer Relations Manager.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Graduation from high school and completion of business-related college courses or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Demonstrated professionalism and knowledge of business practices.

Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service.

Demonstrated experience with current information technology (e.g. Microsoft suite including but not limited to Word, Outlook and Excel, etc.)

Demonstrated experience with social media.

Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.

Demonstrated attention to detail.

Demonstrated organizational skills.

Demonstrated dependability and reliability.

Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and/or communication devices (e.g. radio to communicate with public safety, operations and facilities).
