About Us:

Elysian Charter School is an innovative K–8, public charter
school, located in Hoboken, New Jersey. We recently celebrated our 27th year of
service to the Hoboken community – serving as one of the nine inaugural public
charters statewide when the charter law was first enacted.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative
individual to join us as an Office Assistant / Data Manager for a full time, 12
month position, commencing July 1, 2024. This is an exciting opportunity for a
professional who is passionate about working with students, teachers and
administrative staff to build a positive and diverse school community.

Responsibilities:

· Work in collaboration with
other main office staff to greet and assist visitors as needed.

· Oversee daily orders and
distribution of school lunches and adhere to the regulations of the state
school lunch program.

· Collaborate with teachers
to plan and schedule field trips.

· Assist with the lottery
application process and student enrollment, including requesting missing
documents from parents and students’ previous school.

· Ensure all student data
collected is accurate and up to date in Genesis (student information system), including
but not limited to re-enrollment of students, updating demographic information,
and state/federal information.

· Represent the school at
outreach and recruiting events in an effort to recruit more underserved and
underrepresented students.

· Assist in
enrollment of new students.

· Assist with the creating and maintaining online report cards in Genesis;
Train and assist teachers to use the online report card system.

· Maintain and update all
Charter School state required reports and data collection.

· Monitor NJSLA data and assessments, including logistics, testing security, and school-facing training, support, regulations and scheduling.

· Assist in analyzing data in order to create reports for
all stakeholders, including students, staff, parents, Board members and
Department of Education.

· Assist with grant writing
and submissions by creating charts and graphs.

· Update and post job
descriptions to attract staff as needed.

· Help plan and coordinate
special events and other school functions.

· Assist with new employee
onboarding, focusing on account setup, background checks, and certification.

· Demonstrated strong
interpersonal and communication skills to build meaningful relationships with
students, staff, families and the broader community.

· Attend professional development and training sessions as needed

Qualifications:

· Associates degree
required; Bachelor degree preferred

· Experience
in with SIS systems, preferably Genesis

· Experience with charter
school administration

· Ability to think
creatively and strategically, multi-task and problem solve.

· A desire to make a
difference in the lives of students, families and community

· Excellent written and
verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively
with various audiences – colleagues, students and families

· A commitment to working with diverse populations of families and
students
