JOB PURPOSE or JOB DESCRIPTION:
Perform duties receive company phone calls and visitors while performing other office administrative duties related to supplies, mail, and faxes, with a focus on supporting the HR team and employee engagement activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet visitors and answer incoming calls routing all to appropriate company employees.
Communicate effectively and demonstrate professional, friendly, and welcoming demeanor.
Review work and prioritize tasks in order to meet defined timelines and expectations.
Manage the receipt and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and faxes.
Prepare and post monthly company communications, and other miscellaneous employee communications on personnel boards/monitors.
Coordinate internal employee engagement events such as employee lunches, monthly treats, etc.
Update HR systems with current employee information on a weekly basis.
Send benefit enrollment reminders to new employees as needed.
Receive, process, and track PPE receipts for employees ensuring reimbursement is provided in accordance with company policy.
Conduct regular plan audits of benefit plan enrollments ensuring internal systems match provider records.
Support the coordination of training and other company events for employees.
Coordinate and oversee the company’s online apparel store, including receipt and distribution of items.
Assist the safety team with the administration of injury reports, ensuring reports are completed properly and filed with the company’s work comp provider in a timely manner, and coordinate annual safety testing as required.
Assist in scanning and filing employee documents into electronic personnel files.
Ensure that the HR team, office break area, and meeting spaces have appropriate supplies for day-to-day needs.
Assist employees with general HR inquiries.
Perform other duties as assigned and needed.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience and/or Training: 1 year of reception or administrative support experience.
Licenses/Certificates: None
Technology/Equipment: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Software, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate’s degree in business, HR, or related field
Experience and/or Training: Coordinating company events including food.
Licenses/Certificates: SHRM or HRCI Certification
Technology/Equipment: HR information systems, Microsoft Access, Canva
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
Sitting for long periods of time, 6-8 hours per day. Walking, speaking, hearing, and seeing. Listen and observe the environment for hazard prevention. Use hands for tools and typing. Semi-frequently lift up to 15 lbs. Some tasks may require the employee to bend, stoop, twist, and turn.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Indoor office working environment. Office is temperature-controlled all year round. Minimal hazards identified.
