Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SAN (Storage Area Network) Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise storage environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAN storage technologies, storage arrays, backup solutions, and virtualization integration. This role involves working closely with IT infrastructure teams to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of storage systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain SAN storage systems (e.g., EMC, NetApp, Hitachi, HPE).
- Manage storage arrays, disk groups, LUNs, and volume provisioning.
- Perform SAN zoning, multipathing, and fabric management.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize storage solutions.
- Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
- Ensure storage security, compliance, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with server, virtualization, and database teams for storage integration (VMware, Hyper-V, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Maintain documentation of storage architecture, procedures, and configurations.
- Plan and execute SAN upgrades, patches, and migrations.
- Provide on-call support for critical storage issues.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience as a SAN Administrator or Storage Engineer.
- Hands-on experience with SAN storage solutions (EMC, NetApp, HPE, Hitachi, Pure Storage).
- Strong knowledge of SAN protocols: Fibre Channel, iSCSI, FCoE.
- Experience with storage management tools, backup solutions, and replication technologies.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and storage integration.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience with storage performance monitoring and capacity planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as EMC Proven Professional, NetApp NCDA, or HPE ASE Storage.
- Experience with cloud storage integration (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of automation tools (PowerShell, Python) for storage management.
- Exposure to database storage support (Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA).
