About the Role

Reporting to the Channel Manager, the Scheduler will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing program schedules across TVWAN channels to ensure accurate and uninterrupted broadcast operations. The role will manage content scheduling, client Television Commercial (TVC) bookings, commercial inventory, promotions, and programming alignment to maximize audience engagement, meet commercial commitments, and support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Scheduling & Client TVC Management

  • Receive, review, and book client TVCs into the broadcast schedule in line with approved commercial orders and campaign requirements.
  • Coordinate with Trend media, Internal Stakeholders and Marketing teams to ensure accurate placement and delivery of advertisements.
  • Verify TVC materials, durations, broadcast dates, sponsorship obligations, and airtime allocations prior to scheduling.
  • Manage commercial inventory to maximize channel utilization and revenue opportunities.
  • Ensure advertisements are scheduled and delivered according to contractual commitments and approved run orders.
  • Monitor campaign delivery and support make-good scheduling where required.
  • Maintain records of booked commercials, schedule amendments, and campaign execution.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and clients on TVC readiness, changes, and transmission status.

Content & Asset Management

  • Confirm availability of all program and commercial assets before scheduled transmission.
  • Coordinate with Content, Production, Acquisition, and Operations teams to ensure content readiness.
  • Maintain accurate metadata, programme information, and EPG (Electronic Program Guide) data.
  • Track content rights periods and ensure broadcasts occur within approved windows.

Broadcast Operations Support

  • Support smooth channel playout and broadcast continuity.
  • Liaise with Master Control Room (MCR) and technical teams to resolve scheduling issues.
  • Monitor schedule execution and implement corrections where necessary.
  • Prepare and distribute final transmission schedules to relevant stakeholders.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Produce scheduling, commercial delivery, and airtime utilization reports.
  • Track schedule adherence and operational performance.
  • Provide recommendations to improve programming efficiency, inventory utilization, and viewer engagement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Diploma in Media, Broadcasting, Communications, Business or related field. A Bachelor Degree in related field will be considered as an added advantage.
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years of work experience in television scheduling, commercial scheduling, or broadcast operations preferred.
  • Sound understanding of TV scheduling, workflows, and playout environments.
  • Knowledge of Television Commercial (TVC) booking process, Electronic Program Guide (EPG) management, and content rights.
  • Proficient in scheduling and reporting systems.
  • Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
