The Orenda Center of Wellness, – addictions and mental health treatment – is currently seeking a fulltime administrative assistant to run the front desk at our outpatient services center located in Frederick, Maryland. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, learn quickly. and be able to work independently. The office tasks that will be required may include but not be limited to, conducting observed client urinalysis collections, ensuring the housekeeping of the center & offices, answering the phones, scheduling client appointments, sending out client paperwork as needed, checking in all current clients for groups & individual sessions, taking notes in staff meetings, being point of contact for all visitors as well as fulling any of the other responsibilities assigned to the front desk and administrative role. This position will report directly to and work under the supervision of the Outpatient Serivces Executive Director. Ability to take directive and have unwavering professional and ethical boundaries will be required. The ability to quickly adapt and adjust to changes will be indispensable for this role as the center is a high energy and face paced work environment. Experience in the field of addictions and/or mental health services is preferred but not required. Training and shadow shifts are provided during the initial orientation period.

The required work schedule is:

Monday through Friday; 9a -5p

Standard 40-hour work week max with mandatory 30-min unpaid lunch break per day

Job Requirements & Minimum Skills:

GED or high school diploma
Ability to pass a background check
Ability to pass a comprehensive drug screening
Experience working in mental health, substance use, behavioral health, or another medical field administrative / front desk role
Adaptable to ever changing workload responsibilities and tasks
Ability to follow direction and have good time management skills
Mid-level computer skills with professional phone and typing abilities
Ability to work as a team player
Professional boundaries and a basic understanding of HIPAA
Experience in EMR systems
CPR/First Aid Certified
Covid Vaccinated (if applicable)
