Full Job Description

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to serve the seniors at an apartment community near downtown Pleasanton, serving low-income elderly residents. In order to serve these seniors well, you must have patience, be a good listener, and still get tasks and projects done.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position. Monday – Friday, from 8 am — 5 pm. Hourly salary range is$23 – $25(based on experience).This position is temporary, anticipating 12-14 months, that may become permanent.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES

Staffs the office, answers the telephone, and interacts with residents, families, management, contractors, and vendors.

General office duties, including sending scans and faxes, making copies, maintains files, handles office mail, orders office supplies, drafts letters, memos, notices, etc., as well as collaborating on general administrative and occupancy needs of the site office.

Generates work orders, codes invoices, and assists in rent collection and deposits.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess the ability to work in Microsoft Windows environment, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc., and has the willingness to learn new office software.

Previous experience with Section 8, Tax Credit, or HUD housing is a plus!

Speak, read, and write in English and follow oral and written instructions.

Bend and lift 20 pounds, file in 4-drawer filing cabinets.

Minimum high school education.

Must be friendly, versatile, flexible, and able to multitask!
