Job Duties

About Us:

The Motor Vehicle Repair Board oversees and registers businesses that perform collision repair, auto glass replacement and repair, airbag replacement and repair, paintless dent repair and window tint installation.

What You’ll Do:

The Administrative Professional 1 plays an important part in the Board. In this role, you will be responsible for:

Providing secretarial assistance by performing routine and non-routine clerical duties.
Composing and producing routine correspondence.
Greeting visitors and maintaining visitor sign-in log.
Making photocopies, answering telephones, retrieving messages from voicemail, receiving, and delivering telephone messages.
Researching and responding to e-mail inquiries.
Filing and maintaining filing systems.
Opening and distributing mail.
Requesting equipment and supplies and monitoring supply levels.
Ordering and returning records to off-site storage facility.
Providing information orally and/or in writing pertaining to services and activities provided by the Board.
Sorting license applications and entering and retrieving data from licensing database (i.e., eLicense).
Demonstrating commitment to customer service performance standards in alignment with agency’s promise to deliver service, support and provide solutions to customers.

Teleworking Option
The Ohio Board of Motor Vehicle Repair is currently in a hybrid teleworking status. Teleworking agreements are developed between the direct supervisor and staff and approved by the Executive Director. All Teleworking Agreements are subject to change at any time at the discretion of management.
Qualifications
1 year training or 1 year experience in secretarial science or business office applications.
For positions requiring technical terminology, applicants must also have 6 months training or 6 months experience in relevant technical terminology.
Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

Supplemental Information

Unless required by legislation or union contract, salary will be set at the lowest rate of the salary range with gradual increases in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code or OCSEA/AFSCME Collective Bargaining Agreement.
