Bathurst Resources Ltd currently operates Stockton Opencast Mine, which is located close to the coast on a plateau in the Buller coalfield, 35 km north of Westport. This is one of New Zealand’s largest mines with a long history of coal production and produces high value coal for export to the world’s leading steel makers.

To strengthen our Business Administration Team, we are filling the position of:

Site Administrator (Fixed Term)

Stockton Opencast Mine / Westport Office

Reporting to the Business Administration Team Leader, this role is responsible for providing a professional level of administration and clerical support services to the Business Administration Team and to the Stockton Mine in general.

We are currently looking to recruit for this position as a full-time, fixed term for 18 months (43.75 hours per week).

The successful candidate will ideally have recent experience in a similar position and be looking for an opportunity to join a progressive team to develop their skills and experience.

To Be Successful In The Role, You Will Have

  • Secondary Education NZEA Level 2
  • Experience in a customer service role and with information/database management
  • Strong organisation and planning skills
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • NZ Class One Driver's License

The Business Administration Team is a department with a variety of ongoing tasks, focused on capturing all the data essential to running the coal mine.
