Responsibilities

The Summer Employment Opportunity Program (SEOP) provides temporary summer employment opportunities to children, step-children and spouses of Mayo Clinic employees enrolled in a college degree granting program of study, and is intended to help supervisors accommodate employee vacation requests when seasonal work volumes are high. Working with PhlebotomyEducationin the Baldwin Building providing help with scanning and shredding of files.

Qualifications

Previous experience or knowledge of computers and keyboarding, telephone operations and other office equipment desired. Must be organized, able to prioritize and work in afast-paced environment. Must possess good human relations skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Must be able to work independently as well as in ateam environment. Must be able to accommodate scheduling adjustments and varying work assignments.

Requires the ability to be attentive to details and to adhere to strict safety requirements.

Must be a child, step-child, or spouse of a current Mayo Clinic employee.

Must be currently enrolled in a degree granting program.

Must be returning to college in the fall.

Must be able to work a minimum of 10 weeks.

Must be 18 years of age or older by the start of the program

SEOP employees should not expect vacation/days-off to be approved during their commitment.
