Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in office reception and proficiency in utilizing various software systems. Responsibilities:
Bring a cheerful attitude and uplift the patients who visit our clinic
Warmly welcome patients by greeting them in person or on the telephone
Schedule appointments correctly and help maximize provider efficiency
Accurately checks patients in and out
Assisting with filing and retrieving of patient records
Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
Accurately records the collection of patient payments
Helps patients who either call or walk into the clinic who are in distress by responding to emergencies
Maintains HIPPA (patient privacy) standards
Contributes to overall team effort by excelling and accomplishing expected results
Records and distributes detailed and accurate messages to appropriate staff members
Responsible for maintaining lobby and public area. Maintain cleanliness and order
Assist Office Manager with billing tasks
Preferred Candidates Will Have:
Previous experience in medical billing or related field
Proficiency in medical terminology and coding
Familiarity with medical receptionist duties
Knowledge of medical scheduling procedures
Experience with Meditouch, or similar software systems
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance
Strong communication skills and ability to work with phone systems
