The  maximum recruitment salary for this position is $54,000.

All responsibilities and processes associated with this position are administered by the Planning, Statistics and Information Management (PSIM) Bureau. This position is responsible for managing and administering the OSH Division (OSHNC) Inspection Targeting System, various monthly and annual analytical reports, and being familiar with all bureau, division and departmental responsibilities, goals and activities through discussions with NCDOL and bureau personnel and in adherence with all applicable policies, procedures, laws, rules, regulations and standards.

This position will provide support through statistical review and analysis for OSHNC for various monthly and annual reporting requirements and in support of the OSH Division’s Strategic Management Plan. This position’s primary responsibilities are to maintain, evaluate, and improve Compliance inspection targeting and performance management processes for the bureau and division; maintain the private and public sector establishment databases; supply and evaluate data related to the technical, statistical and policy support of the division in response to requests from the public and Department of Labor senior management; and quality control and consistency regarding the release and distribution of division program data. Responsibilities also include evaluating, developing and improving procedures and policies the bureau uses for targeting of sites for OSHNC inspection activity through the analysis of inspection and consultation activity. This position evaluates and makes modifications to specific policy documents (Operational Procedure Notices and Federal Directives) in regard to the targeting schedules. The position will need to be experienced in the use of MS Word, Excel and Access and have substantial knowledge of OSH Division operations, policies and procedures and also have a general knowledge of state government policies and procedures. In the absence of the PSIM Bureau Chief, this position assumes the role of acting supervisor for the bureau.

Bachelor’s degree in the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. All degrees must be received from an appropriately accredited institution.
