DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will assist staff in the Therapeutic Recreation Department and facilitate both individual and group activities as prescribed in our consumers’ treatment plans, and provide consumers with opportunities to engage in meaningful leisure opportunities that match their needs and interests. You will observe, review, and report on consumers’ progress towards their individualized goals; ensure the safe escort of consumers to and from activities throughout the hospital grounds; maintain your recreation areas to ensure a safe and clean environment; and maintain records and documents according to legal and regulatory requirements.Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 40 hours per week; this is an essential position.Work hours are 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Six months of experience as an Aide Trainee (commonwealth title); orSix months of work experience providing care to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements:You must meet the .
