Here’s a summary of responsibilities:

Under the direction and supervision of the Assoc. Dir., Sports Medicine & Clinic Operations, provide administrative support for Sports Medicine clinics, athletes, and NGBs regarding clinical services. Assist with operations of the Lake Placid Sports Medicine Clinic and Recovery Space. Operational duties include working with USOPC departments to coordinate Lake Placid Sports Medicine coverage.

Here’s how you’ll have an impact:

Greet athletes upon arrival and verify access and authorized
Schedule and coordinate clinical and recovery. Provide athlete support with medical records, including processing and maintaining registration paperwork.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Lake Placid medical volunteers onboarding once scheduled for a rotation, including creating EMR accounts and schedules.
Develop, maintain, and distribute all Lake Placid Sports Medicine Clinics schedules, including practice coverage, on-call rotation, and clinicians’ standing.
Assist in coordinating and maintaining referrals out of the Lake Placid Sports Medicine Clinic, including USOPC National Medical Network services.
Assist with clinical maintenance by submitting work orders, updates, and training as well as shipping and inventory management for the clinic and Games events.
Handle confidential information and communicate only to its intended audience.
Assist in the scheduling and production of the Elite Athlete Health Profiles (EAHP) and reports in conjunction with sports medicine clinicians.
Assist with departmental activities such as on-complex events including medical meetings, conferences, and various Lake Placid functions.
Understand and comply with USOPC policy and procedures including risk management guidelines, ethics policies, patient confidentiality, safe sport initiatives, anti-doping regulations, local, state, and federal laws, and other appropriate regulations, maintain health and safety standards both at the Olympic & Paralympic Training Centers and assigned USOPC events.
Work with members of the Sports Medicine staff and USOPC Medical Network providers to ensure all relevant medical records are scanned and uploaded for current athletes promptly, as well as assist with other clinic processes such as inventory tracking, scheduling, EMR account creation, and OPTC housing. Work with the appropriate team members to ensure the most efficient processes are in place.

Here are the skills and experience you’ll need to be effective:

Associate’s degree in sports management or related field
Past job experience may be accepted in place of formal education
2-3 years of administrative experience
Knowledge and/or experience with USOPC structure and Olympic or Paralympic sport
Excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills
Proven ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with all staff levels, volunteers, and external constituents
Ability to deal with non-routine matters and special projects with minimum and specific instruction in a variety of situations
Computer skills in word processing, desktop publishing, database development, and EMR utilization
Excellent customer service
Demonstrates consistent and strong communication skills while interacting with a multidisciplinary team

This hub-based role will regularly work from our Lake Placid Olympic & Paralympic Training Center.

Here’s some more information you need to know:

Hiring Pay Range: $22.65 to $26.62 per hour.
This full-time, non-exempt position is intended to work 40 hours per week.
Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program at a 5% target. This program is subject to change or elimination by the USOPC at any time at its sole discretion.
