Purpose:

The Order Entry Associate will be responsible for accurately entering customer purchase order data as it is received into SalesPad to create sales orders. Purchase orders are received via email, fax and/or EDI. Ensure order requirements are clearly communicated to the appropriate order fulfillment departments. Import orders via the EDI platform and transmit necessary documentation. Assist in answering phones and in other customer support activities. Execute tasks accurately and efficiently in coordination with team members. Follow company values and goals under the guidance of the Customer Experience Manager.

Responsibilities:

Accurately enter customer orders received via email, fax and/or phone into SalesPad within the timeframe prescribed by the Customer Experience Manager
Monitor closely monitoring que throughout the day for inbound orders and updates
Import customer orders via the EDI platform and transmit the necessary documentation (e.g. Purchase Order Acknowledgements and Advance Shipping Notifications)
Audit all purchase orders for any conflicts, omissions, and/or discrepancies and resolve them appropriately prior to entry into SalesPad
Ensure customer order processing requirements/requests are adhered to and properly communicated
Document all customer requests and/or changes to purchase orders and communicate that information to the appropriate person/department
Serve as backup to Customer Service Associates in answering phone calls within three rings (including answering distributor and end users questions)
Resolve customer issues and/or notify individuals who can with full resolution in 24 hours
Keep accurate records and document customer service-related issues, actions, and discussions
Maintain a clean and orderly workspace and observe company housekeeping standards
Complete the assigned task or project to the standards/expectations set forth by leadership at the time of assignment, and within the assigned time frame

Requirements:

High school diploma
2+ years Order Entry experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Minimally must be able to lift 30 pounds without assistance; may lift over 30 pounds with or without assistance

Preferences:

Warehouse/Logistics experience, a plus
Bilingual in English/Spanish, a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
