- Search for and identify new transportation vendors according to business needs.
- Conduct vendor screening and verification.
- Ensure complete legal documents, fleet, and driver availability.
- Establish good working relationships with vendors.
- Handle vendor-related issues and escalations.
- Conduct regular vendor visits to maintain business relationships.
- Support vendor rate negotiation processes.
- Benchmark vendor rates and capacity.
- Ensure vendors comply with SOPs, SLAs, and company policies.
- Ensure vendor fleet availability meets operational needs.
- Identify potential capacity shortages and prepare mitigation plans.
- Assist in developing vendor pool strategies to support business growth.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Vendor Management, Transportation Management, Procurement, Logistics Operations, or Supply Chain.
- Experience interacting directly with transportation vendors is a plus.
