Full Job Description
Nisqually Veterinary Clinic is looking for a new receptionist to be part of our busy front desk team! If you are a compassionate person with a huge heart who loves animals, and enjoy working with amazing, like-minded individuals, we would love to hear from you! NVC is a small locally owned veterinary practice with two full-time veterinarians. We are looking for someone with previous veterinary experience and knowledge of Avimark. However, we are happy to train the right person!

We are looking for someone to work 3 or 4 ten-hour shifts between Monday – Friday. A typical shift starts around 7:45am or 8:00am and ends around 6:15pm or 6:30pm.
Some Example of Duties Are:
Handle multiple phone lines promptly and professionally
Schedule a variety of appointments that require specific parameters between three veterinarians and technicians
Accurate and thorough documentation and maintenance of patient charts (electronically)
Patient intake and discharge. Including, preparing all necessary paperwork including medical record documentation and vaccine history
Invoice preparation and payment processing (cash box, card readers, CareCredit)
Provide information about the retail products we sell and assist in finding what the client needs
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment. Including dusting, cleaning and organizing reception area (front desk and waiting area) daily. Clean, maintain and stock retail displays daily
Provide support and assistance to veterinarians, practice manager, technicians and assistants as needed.
Requirements:
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and accuracy
Computer and typing experience
Committed to problem solving with team members vs venting
*Veterinary and/or Avimark experience is a huge plus!
