CEW+ (Center for the Education of Women+) empowers women and underserved individuals in the University of Michigan and surrounding communities by advocating and providing resources to help them reach their academic, financial, and professional potential. CEW+ provides resources, career and education counseling, events and workshops, emergency funding, and scholarships. We collaborate across teams for programs, projects, marketing, events, and donor engagement.
This position will support the Program Management, Counseling, and Leadership teams and provide logistical support to all student programs at the Center. This position will report directly to the Associate Director. This position is a full-time, benefits-eligible, term-limited position through August 31, 2026, with the option of extending based on satisfactory performance, available funding, and organizational need. All CEW+ staff members are eligible to work remotely for a portion of their schedule. During the 6-month probation period, 1-day per week will be remote. At the midpoint of the probation period (3 months), an assessment will be completed to determine eligibility for working remotely 2 days per week. All staff are on-site on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Night and weekend hours may be necessary at times to accommodate student schedules. There are likely 3-4 events, programs, or meetings per month after business hours or on weekends.

Responsibilities*
Administrative Support
Data entry support
Maintain a list of resource referrals and provide referrals and connections to students to the appropriate campus partners
Provide administrative support to CEW+ Sponsored Student Organizations (SSO)
Recruit students to engage and assist with CEW+ programs and research/data collection efforts
In collaboration with program managers and counselors, track and identify students as potential candidates for marketing materials or development efforts
Attend student programming, student support focused meetings, info sessions, and informational fairs as assigned
Event Logistics, Communications and Technical Support
Serve as the first point of contact and triage for student-facing email groups
Connect with campus partners around programming and events
Monitor, suggest and create content for social media accounts associated with student programs
Provide coordination and support to student-facing programs
Provide technical support with student application processes and answer applicant questions
Front office greeting and departmental meetings
Attend CEW+ all staff meetings and other meetings as appropriate
Serve as front office scheduler and greeter for up to 16 hours per week and provide backup coverage as needed
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work preferred
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion to respect participants needs.
1 year of experience in an administrative function, particularly in higher education
1 year of work experience supporting programs for nontraditional students in higher education or lived experience as a nontraditional student
1 year of customer service experience
1 year of experience providing event coordination support
Demonstrated experience providing administrative support across an office
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, manage realistic expectations, and communicate priorities and expectations to others
