Sagebrush Health is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist for our Orangeburg, SC office. The Receptionist will be responsible for the daily operations of the front desk, answering calls, and assisting with front desk duties.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Previous experience in a Medical office environment (Preferred)
Ability to multi-task and work independently
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and co-workers
2+ Years of experience highly preferred
Essential Duties:
CHECK IN RECEPTIONIST:
ANSWERS INCOMING PHONE CALLS AND CHECKS VOICEMAILS AND/OR ROUTES TO APPROPRIATE PERSONNEL
SCHEDULES INCOMING REFERRALS & INPUTS DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION IN ALLSCRIPTS
REVIEWS REFERRAL DOCUMENTATION AND ACQUIRES MISSING INFORMATION IF NEEDED
NOTIFIES LACHELLE OF MISSING REFERRING PROVIDERS TO BE ADDED INTO ALLSCRIPTS
UPDATES INSURANCE INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS FROM CHANGES MADE IN ALLSCRIPTS
SCHEDULES/RESCHEDULES/CANCELS APPOINTMENT REQUESTS
PROCESSES INCOMING MEDICAL RECORD REQUESTS
CHECKS PATIENTS IN USING ALLSCRIPTS/PHREESIA
PROCESSES UPDATED INFORMATION FROM PHREESIA
COMPLETES PATIENT REQUESTS FROM FOLLOW MY HEALTH PATIENT PORTAL
PERFORMS ELIGIBILITY CHECKS AND INVESTIGATES ELIGIBILITY DISCREPANCIES/ERRORS PRIOR TO APPOINTMENTS
PROCESSES INCOMING FAXES
EHR SCANNING
CHECK OUT RECEPTIONIST:
ANSWERS INCOMING PHONE CALLS/VOICEMAILS AND/OR ROUTES TO APPROPRIATE PERSONNEL
PROCESSES OUTGOING REFERRALS (OTHER PROVIDERS/SPECIALISTS/RADIOLOGY/PHYSICAL THERAPY/SURGERY)
OBTAINS NECESSARY MEDICAL HISTORY/PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS FOR EXTERNAL RADIOLOGY, PHYSICAL THERAPY, ETC
SCHEDULES/RESCHEDULES/CANCELS APPOINTMENT REQUESTS
PROCESSES OUTGOING MEDICAL RECORD REQUESTS
SCHEDULES FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS
COLLECTS PATIENT COPAYS AND BALANCES AND FROM NEXTGEN AND ALLSCRIPTS USING PHREESIA AND CLOSES OUT AT END OF THE DAY
COMPLETES PATIENT REQUESTS FROM FOLLOW MY HEALTH PATIENT PORTAL
PROCESSES INCOMING FAXES
EHR SCANNING
