About the Role
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support Access to Information (ATI) operations for a Government of Alberta department. This role is responsible for coordinating ATI requests, maintaining accurate records, preparing correspondence, supporting document management, and ensuring compliance with legislated timelines and administrative procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and track Access to Information (ATI) requests and related documentation.
- Prepare and review correspondence, acknowledgements, closure letters, and applicant communications.
- Coordinate record searches and monitor request progress to ensure timelines are met.
- Maintain electronic records, process payments and refunds, and support document management activities.
- Respond to general inquiries and provide administrative support to ATI Operations.
- Assist with document preparation, PDF conversion, records management, and office administration.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
- Experience providing administrative support in a government or regulated environment.
- Strong document management, records management, and data entry skills.
- Experience preparing professional correspondence and maintaining accurate records.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and electronic filing systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting Access to Information (ATI), FOIP, privacy, or records management processes.
- Experience coordinating document reviews or legislative compliance activities.
- Public sector or Government of Alberta experience.
- Knowledge of financial or payment processing procedures.
