Administrative Assistant (Part-Time | Contract-to-Hire)
LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a well-established organization to identify an Administrative Assistant for a part-time, contract-to-hire opportunity. This position is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys supporting daily operations, interacting with stakeholders, and keeping administrative processes running smoothly.
Compensation: $20.00-$24.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to department leadership and staff.
- Prepare, review, and maintain correspondence, reports, contracts, and departmental records.
- Coordinate calendars, schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes.
- Create and track purchase orders, requisitions, and other financial documentation.
- Review and process invoices while maintaining accurate vendor records.
- Order office supplies and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming inquiries and service requests.
- Communicate professionally with internal departments, external agencies, vendors, and community stakeholders.
- Assist with newsletters, website updates, and other communications as needed.
- Provide reception and front desk coverage when required.
- Support special projects, events, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Maintain confidential records and information with discretion.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative, office support, customer service, or operations experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize competing deadlines.
- Professional and customer-service-oriented approach.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, English, Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
- Experience working in a government, nonprofit, or highly regulated environment.
- Experience with purchase orders, invoicing, vendor management, or financial systems.
