The job involves assessing the contents of files and paperwork within archiving boxes, preparing files, electronic inventory sheets, and courier archive boxes, and determining the disposition of files and paperwork. The role requires following established policies and procedures regarding records management, locating, retrieving, or making copies of files as requested, and preparing files for archiving using the Government Records Retention Schedule.
Additionally, the position requires experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) for at least 2 years, experience in an Information Management environment working with records/documents for at least 2 years, experience with interpretation and application of records retention and disposition, experience with public sector retention and archiving of records, and experience with Records Management/Document Management using SharePoint. Knowledge of Records Management legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures is also essential.
