Ministry Programming & Care
Position Description
Purpose: To serve the church by providing administrative support to the Senior Associate Pastor, Ministry Programming, Congregational Care and other professional church staff as needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Congregational Care Responsibilities:
Communicate with members regarding their pastoral care needs and requests and direct the information to the appropriate staff member(s).
Develop and maintain member congregational care data in the membership database, generate weekly care reports.
Develop and maintain critical care list and distribute weekly to pastors.
Receive and coordinate prayer cordon requests.
Prepare and coordinate the distribution of congregational care letters.
Assist flower distribution volunteers as needed.
Provide support for memorial services:
Prepare worship bulletins.
Recruit Deacons and Ushers.
Communicate details with pertinent staff and columbarium committee, as appropriate.
Handle responsibilities for caring ministry programs:
Take reservations.
Collect fees when appropriate.
Make room reservations including set-ups and equipment needs.
Maintain rosters, attendance rolls, and records.
Provide support for Board of Deacon ministries:
Coordinate meeting logistics, including meals.
Provide timely communication with the Board as requested by Care staff or Board leadership.
Provide support for the Director of Congregational Care & Senior Adult Ministry.
Provide support for the Columbarium Committee.
Other Responsibilities:
Manage calendar and communications for the Senior Associate Pastor.
Process monthly expense reports.
Provide backup support for Receptionist.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Associate Pastor.

Customer service driven.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of software.
Familiarity with ACS software preferred.
Punctual and dependable.
High School Diploma.
Physical Requirements:
Able to sit for long periods of time.
Able to lift small boxes and packages.
Able to bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, lift, and carry objects.
Required Schedule: Work 37.5 hours per week Monday through Friday.
