Your Role
The Premier Accounts (National Accounts Sales) team is a fast-paced, dynamic team responsible for pursuing prospective large clients and winning new group business for Blue Shield of California. The Administrative Assistant, Specialist will report to the Senior Manager, Strategic Planning and Performance. In this role you will support the Sales team in their day-day tasks, including coordination of external and internal meetings and events, booking and coordinating travel, managing calendars, and submitting expense reports.
Your Work
In this role, you will:
Be responsible for providing administrative support to functional area(s), department manager(s) and/or staff
Use automated office equipment and business applications as needed such as PowerPoint, Excel, expense management and travel booking software
Act as an information source on organization policies and procedures
Assist with onboarding new employees
Screen calls, take and deliver messages, provide information to callers
Submit expense reports in a timely manner and ensure we are compliant with internal travel & expense reimbursement policies
Coordinate and provide support as needed for external & internal meetings and events
Provide calendar management support for the Sales team
Book and coordinate travel for the Sales team
Send out weekly pipeline reports and coordinate ad hoc reporting as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Your Knowledge and Experience
Requires a high school diploma or GED
Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience
5 years of experience coordinating meetings and events, booking travel, managing calendars, and submitting expense reports
Prior experience in the health care industry and/or in a sales support role preferred
Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is: $ 31.39 to $ 43.94 for California.

Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
