The Department of Revenue is seeking an individual with good organizational, customer service, and communication skills to fill an Executive Staff Assistant (ESA) position. This position is located within the Enterprise Services Division (ESD), at the State Revenue Building on Rimrock Road. The office is conveniently located 5 minutes from downtown Madison, just off the Beltline and the Capitol City bike path.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for performing a variety of high level and complex administrative functions for the administrator and managers of the Enterprise Services Division (ESD). The position also provides program support on special assignments as directed by the division administrator and bureau director; provides direct support to the Engagement & Strategy Section; functions as the intranet coordinator for ESD; administers DOR’s parking program; and provides program support for the department’s employee recognition/appreciation programs. This position has regular contact with managers across the department and the Secretary’s Office on matters with an enterprise-wide focus.

Salary Information
Starting pay will be between $28.00 and $32.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, plus benefits.
For current State employees, pay on hire will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin Compensation Plan.
The Executive Staff Assistant position is in pay schedule-pay range 81-04.
Job Details
Background Checks: Due to the nature of this position, final candidates will be subject to criminal background, fingerprint, and tax compliance checks.
I-9 Requirements: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Revenue does not sponsor work or student visas, either at time of hire or at any later time. DOR participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with Form I-9 information for all new employees to confirm authorization to work in the U.S.
Remote Work/Telework: This position is eligible for remote work/telework up to 60%. Telework may gradually increase up to 60% based on employee performance and work unit needs.
Probationary Period: A 12-month probationary period will be required.
Qualifications

Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:
Experience providing administrative support to executive-level staff (e.g., administrator, director, secretary, chief executive officer, etc.); and
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Visio etc.); and
Experience with purchasing or procurement activities (e.g., purchasing supplies, requisitions, reconciliation, paying invoices, working with vendors etc.)
In addition to the minimum qualifications, well qualified applicants will have the following:
Experience posting content to an Internet or Intranet site (e.g., SharePoint, etc.); or
Experience working with confidential information.; or
Experience responding to inquiries, drafting correspondence, maintaining procedures, and organizing special events.
