Our client in the insurance industry, is seeking a Bilingual HR & Administration Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a range of administrative and support functions within the HR department. You will also assist the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and the Administration team as needed. With a strong focus on compensation, pension, and benefits, the ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in these areas and play a key role in enhancing and managing the company’s compensation and benefits strategies.  

This is a 12-month maternity leave contract with the possibility of extension. The position is primarily remote, with the excpetion of 2 days per month onsite in either their Downtown or Scarbarough office.  Responsibilities  Handle new hire and benefits change requests. Process employee terminations. Respond to benefits-related employee questions. Request pension calculations and assist with benefit info sessions. Maintain vacation records and assist with the Service Award Program.

Assist with retiree benefits, leave of absence, and health & safety issues. Liaise with benefit providers for resolution. Provide support to the SVP, Human Resources. Assist with mailroom duties, reception, and office management. Contribute to department projects and conduct HR-related research. Ensure accurate data in HRIS and employee files. Maintain records in benefit provider portals. Managers at all levels, employees within IBC Third-party benefit providers, retirees, and employees from other supported organizations   Qualifications  Post-secondary

education

in HR or related field.

Bilingual in French and English required. 3 years of HR experience;  3 years in benefits preferred. Strong knowledge of HR data management. Proficient in Excel and Word (formulas, charts, mail merge, etc.). Strong

attention to detail

. Ability to work in a

, deadline-driven environment. Ability to handle confidential information. Strong analytical, systems, and process skills. Excellent

communication skills
