We have an opportunity for a part time Business Support Officer to join our busy Children’s Services Finance Team. Duties will include booking travel, processing petty cash claims, raising purchase orders and paying invoices.

The ideal candidate will have good administrative skills, including a sound knowledge of Microsoft applications, along with a background in customer service. Experience in a financial setting would be beneficial but not essential. In addition to this the candidate must have excellent communication skills, an ability to prioritise work and be committed to working in a fast paced and challenging environment.

The working days of the post will be Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.

Knowledge

Essential:

Experience of working with a range of IT software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Edge.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

Educated to O Level/GCSE standard (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics.

Experience of working within a team.

Experience of working in a busy office using a range of administration procedures.

Experience of dealing with a range of enquiries both on the telephone and face to face.
