Confidential Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Superintendent
Brief Description:
The Board of Education of the Middlesex Magnet Schools is seeking applicants to fill the position of Confidential Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Superintendent for the 2024-2025 school year.
This will be a twelve-month position with other duties as assigned.
Coordinates matters pertaining to the Office of the Assistant Superintendent.
Prepares and maintains all correspondence of the Assistant Superintendent.
Initiate and/or draft, prepare, distribute, and submit a variety of documents, including but not limited to letters, memos, e-mails, acknowledgments, notice to staff, forms, and reports (enrollment, opening day, admissions, ASSA, Student Safety Data System, School Performance Reports, school registers, HIB, etc.)
Receives all telephone calls for Assistant Superintendent and screens all calls.
Receives all visitors for the Assistant Superintendent. Makes all appointments and coordinates all activities.
Receive incoming mail; determine priorities; forward with appropriate notations to the proper person for response.
Display ethical and professional behavior in working with everyone who communicates or is associated with the office. Serve as a role model for students and staff in demonstrating positive attitudes, appropriate attire and grooming, accepting responsibility, and an effective work ethic.
Protect the confidentiality of records and information about students and staff, and use discretion when sharing such information within legal confines.
Assists in the coordination of uniform MOA, reporting of school security drills, and coordination of NTHS.
Perform any duties and responsibilities that are within the scope of employment as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent or designee.
Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Demonstrate proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
Demonstrate excellent office skills such as filing, record keeping, handling of phone calls, data management, information retrieval, etc.
Be self-driven, possess excellent initiative, integrity and good moral character.
Required criminal history background check and eligibility to work in the United States.

Appointment is at the discretion of the Board of Education.
