Position Description

The Executive Assistant for the District Clerk serves as the information and communication point of contact for the District Clerk.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Plans and schedules meetings and appointments.

Organizes and maintains electronic and paper documents.

Manages and works on special projects.

Conducts research; and disseminates information by email, telephone, and face to face contact.

Assists in administrative office operations by facilitating and coordinating activities of the personnel engaged in carrying out its objectives, by utilizing knowledge of the District Clerk’s rules, regulations, and policies.

Requirements

All applicants must register and take theHRRM Typing Skills Testandscore a minimum of a typing speed of 50 W.P.M. and 80% accuracyand score at least80% on the grammar portion.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Familiar with all DCO sections.

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.

Ability to maintain the highest standards of ethical behavior, exercising honesty, integrity, and confidentiality in the execution of assigned responsibilities.

Must have a high level of personal responsibility, dependability, and time management.

Ability to research cases and freely maneuver DEEDS and JWEB systems, as well as the DCO website.

Must be able to answer and manage incoming calls for the District Clerk, as well as assist with any customer service calls.

Must be highly organized in order to manage and maintain the District Clerk schedule, appointments, and travel arrangements.

Must dress in a professional office manner.

Must be eligible for employment in the United States.

Must be experienced in Microsoft Office Applications.

Preferences

Knowledge of the management organizational chart of the office is preferred.

At least two (2) years’ experience as an Executive Assistant is highly preferred.
