La Paloma Funeral Services is a full-service funeral home located in Southern Nevada. We provide families with an affordable solution to cremation and burial related services. Clients may meet with licensed Funeral Arrangers with assistance from Office Coordinators to finalize decisions regarding cremation and burial. La Paloma was recently awarded “Best of Las Vegas” in the Las Vegas Review Journal readers poll for three-years running, and this is due to our amazing employees. We are currently looking for a hard-working individual to join La Paloma as a bilingual Administrative Assistant/Office Coordinator.
Employees in this position represent a very important part of the team. They function as assistants to the Licensed Funeral Arrangers in order to help them fulfill their responsibilities. They may be one of the first persons a grieving person contacts after the loss of a loved one and this is an especially sensitive time for our clients; therefore, professionalism in an office setting is paramount.
A successful candidate will possess excellent character traits for reliability, responsibility, attitude and personality. The candidate must be detail oriented and proficient in handling client intake in person and over-the-phone. He/she must also have a good attitude towards their work, co-workers and clients.
Admin Assistants/Office Coordinators are often used as an entry level position with growth towards becoming a Licensed Funeral Arranger within our family of companies. La Paloma endeavors to promote from within whenever possible.
The job requires a working knowledge of common office technology, such as phones, computers, basic Microsoft Office software, fax machines, etc. Professionalism and proper office etiquette and decorum must be maintained at all times.
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Candidate must be able to communicate competently verbally and in writing in a professional setting in both English and Spanish.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $14.00/hour to $16.00/hour DOE to start.
Medical, Dental and Vision benefits including matching 401k Plan Participation (up to 4% of pay) and Paid Time Off after completion of Introductory Period. Full-time employees also receive free Life Insurance and Long Term Disability Insurance.
