Front Office Specialist I – TCP Cinco Ranch Jobs in Katy, TX at Texas Children’s Hospital

Primary Objective

To perform specialized office support duties with a minimum of supervision.

Work schedule will be 20 hours a week with some remote flexibility (one shift or 4 hours a week). Schedule will be Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Examples of Duties

Performs administrative tasks such as data entry and receiving mail and packages
Enters legal agreements into the City’s Legal Contract Management system
Initiates and enters purchase requisitions on the City’s Enterprise Resource Planning system
Responsible for the availability of office supplies necessary for assigned area of accountability
Operates and supports a variety of equipment used in the office including printers, multi-function devices and label makers
Purchases refreshments for training sessions and business meetings
Coordinates activities for assigned area of accountability
May assist with end user support
Assists in the implementation, documentation, modification and maintenance of desktop hardware and software in response to needs and requests
Assists with end-user computer training
Performs periodic system maintenance functions as apparent or assigned
Maintains and ensures the update of various lists or records in area of assigned accountability
Performs other duties and responsibilities as apparent or assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES REQUIRED
Ability to work overtime when assigned as well as working various shifts and schedules when necessary
Ability to communicate effectively with employees and the general public, both orally and in writing
Possess good mathematical aptitude, organizational and administrative support skills
Excellent communication and client support skills
Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
Ability to multi-task while maintaining a professional and positive attitude
Ability to work under minimal supervision

Minimum/Desirable Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School graduate or equivalent
Three years of general office experience
Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office products, and the ability to learn specific software programs
Valid driver’s license

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Two years post-high school education
Additional years of general office experience
Experience working in an IT Department

Supplemental Information

SUPERVISION OF OTHERS
This position does not supervise others.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $29.48 – $31.27 Hourly
2024 Full Salary Range: $29.48 – $39.30 Hourly

Ongoing Part-Time employees who are employed for more than 6 months will make contributions to the pension program (PERA) through payroll deductions unless they qualify for one of the exemptions. In addition, Part-Time may receive Paid-time Off (PTO) at rate outlined in employee handbook and eligable for paid parental leave after 6 months of employment.

Temporary/Seasonal employees do not receive benefits outside of Paid-time Off (PTO) at rate outlined in employee handbook.
