Full Job Description

FUNCTIONAL SUMMARY:The HR Administrative Assistant assists with all HR administrative duties including maintaining accurate employee files, orienting new employees, and benefit administration.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists with all HR administration such as 90-day review, benefit tracking, employee policy acknowledgments, anniversary recognition, etc.

Assists with coordinating and conducting employee orientation/onboarding as needed.

Tracks all new hire evaluations and exit interviews.

Provides administrative support as required for all members of the HR team.

Assists with employee recognition programs and HR events.

Assists with coordinating and gathering documentation for audits as needed.

Maintains all new and existing employee files including separated employee checklists and filing.

Assists with the maintenance of accurate employee data records for the HR systems.

Ensures that HR forms and documents are current and available.

Assists with responding to general employee and management inquiries.

Audits data integrity in the HR and Benefits systems and in other automated and paper records to ensure benefits data is accurate.

Monitors waiting periods for benefit eligibility, initiate employee notification and distributes benefit material and serves as the first point of contact for employee benefit inquiries.

Assists in administering employee benefit programs and maintaining benefit records.

Assists with the preparation, scheduling, and presentation of a variety of benefit program workshops and seminars.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Highschool diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of one to two years’ experience in an office setting or HR.

Strong interpersonal, written/verbal communication, organizational skills needed.

Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with staff is essential.

Experience with Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word. Experience with an HRIS system a plus.

Must be able to handle multiple tasks effectively and accurately.

Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.

Must have excellent problem-solving skills and possess a professional and positive attitude.
