Are you an organised, detail‑focused professional with exceptional writing skills? We are seeking a Minute Taker to provide high‑quality governance support to our volunteer Board. Reporting to the Chair and Secretary, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast‑paced discussions, can summarise complex information, and wishes to contribute to one of South Australia’s leading cultural festivals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend monthly Board meetings in person.
- Accurately record board minutes including resolutions, decisions, and action items.
- Prepare draft minutes which are clear and concise in a professional governance style within agreed timeframes.
- Ensure draft minutes meet constitutional and regulatory requirements
- Supports and works with the Chair and Secretary in relation to the minutes
- Maintains confidentiality and discretion.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in minute taking, ideally within a Board or governance setting.
- Excellent listening, comprehension, and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to capture key points objectively.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Teams, Outlook).
Desirable:
- Experience supporting Boards, Committees or executive teams.
- Exposure to governance, risk, compliance, or company secretariat work.
