Full Job Description

Duties

Performs a variety of management functions including electronic time and attendance, personnel actions, travel, training, purchasing, and project management.

Composes correspondence on routine and occasionally non-routine administrative matters and light technical subjects. Formats and edits technical reports to agency specifications.

Refers technical inquiries to the appropriate individual.

Assists individuals in the office with finding correct forms or contacts to complete routine and non-routine office tasks.

Qualifications

In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement – this information must be clearly supported in the resume.

To qualify at the GS-07,you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-06 level in federal service having demonstrated experience that includes supporting a division manager and supervisors, independently managing technical and administrative services for an office; scheduling and coordinating directorate and division activities, composing correspondence, resolving problems, locating information, and organizing workflow within the office.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including any selective placement factors if applicable, by 05/03/2024.

Education

This position does not allow substituting education for experience.

You may be required to serve an initial probationary period. Current, permanent Federal employees who are selected from this announcement may be required to serve a probationary period.

Reclamation has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and you may be allowed to telework with supervisory approval.
